Year 1 & 2 Teacher

Welcome to Class 1! Our class teacher is Mrs Cole and Mrs Scott is our Teaching Assistant.

We have Forest School sessions every week with Mrs Scott, PE sessions with Coach Wignall and music lessons with Mrs Tomlinson.

We hope you will be very happy at our school and that both you and your child feel confident and relaxed about joining our Sabden Primary School family. We are very excited to join you on your learning journey!

Information for Parents

Please ensure that all book bags, lunch bags, coats, jumpers and PE kits are clearly labelled with your child's name.

PE - PE sessions run on Wednesday & Fridays. Please ensure that your child has their named PE kit which can be left in school at all times, as on occasions these days may change.

Reading Books - An adult will read with your child in school at least twice a week. They will be sent home with a reading book which will be changed once completed. We ask that parents kindly purchase a school book bag to help with sending reading books and other items home.

Please read with your child at home for 10 minutes each day to help develop their decoding, fluency and comprehension skills. Please write a comment and sign their reading record when you have completed this. If you require any further assistance around supporting your child with their learning at home, please speak to Mrs Cole.
